Went to Michael's today...

Rebecca, on July 9, 2019 at 2:42 AM Posted in Style and Décor 0 13
...And spent $75 on craft supplies for the centerpieces. (Not done buying stuff, yet, need to figure out if there's a place we can spraypaint things.)

Also, FH got ideas for the seating chart, and we now have a great working knowledge of our local Michael's. We'll be back, for sure.

FH is full of great ideas, and honestly offended that I am even grateful he's helping. ("It's my wedding, too!")

That's great Rebecca! What do you (& your FH of course!) plan on doing for the centerpieces?

Make sure to go on the Michael's website and register your email address to receive coupons! I get stuff from them about once a week that ranges from 20-40% off, plus they'll keep you informed of sales, and give you ideas for other crafting projects that may come in handy.

I love that! Weddings bring out that creative energy I guess, my FH was the same way about crafts.
We bought most of our supplies for decor at Hobby Lobby during their half price days for anything tabletop. We bought vases, candles, wedding guest book pen, photo frames, cupcake tower and a lot more. God we spent $150 in one trip but it would’ve been $300 on a full price day! Stack those coupons and pay attention to their sale cycles.

Yup! Michaels has been a must for our wedding DIY things! My FH and I have gone there nearly every day to take advantage of their 40% off 1 item coupon. You can pull this up on your cell phone and they will scan it at the register. No printing necessary! Another trick we used (for all those frugal DIYers) if you have time and patience before your big day, is going to Michaels to figure out which supplies you actually need (see sizing in real life, get brand names, etc.) and then without purchasing them, head to ebay (sometimes Amazon, but not as much) to see if we can get the same products for a cheaper price. We really saved some serious money doing this- which then went right out of our account anyways for another project. Smiley smile
