Unfortunately, we were all flying out on Sunday, and the courthouse did not reopen until Monday. So no one was able to file our marriage license. So, we flew home having had a wedding, but still unwed LOL We had all three “officiants” sign the marriage license and our photographer took a group photo of everyone flipping the bird (our sentiment to the Officiant we booked who never showed up 😂) We plan to frame that photo next to our marriage license!
The positives... the makeup artist was an absolute doll, and the photographer was such a positive, grounding energy throughout the chaos. The florist absolutely nailed the look I was going for. The string quartet was outstanding - they learned a string version of a Rammstein song for us to walk down the aisle to, and also a Nirvana song for our recessional. The chef prepared a delicious meal for us, and even surprised us with a tableside flambe service! I designed my headpiece, and the woman who made if for me captured it exactly. And my dress maker... KILLED it!! I wore 2 dresses, and the second one (with the huge train), I designed myself. She was able to create exactly what I had in my head! At the end of the day, we had a fantastic time and made life-long memories with our closest friends! And instead of just unceremoniously going to the courthouse to sign the paperwork locally, we are now planning an elopement to Las Vegas next November! 🤘🏻 I plan to work with the same dress maker to create another custom dress for me, and she is going to modify my mom's veil so I can wear it as well So, it looks like I'm starting back to square one planning another wedding LOL
And since I have gotten multiple messages asking if I would be posting photos from the wedding, here are a few that I think I accurately capture the day…
