Ones I've recieved haven't been anything crazy: bottles of water, granola bars or other assorted snacks, advil, that kind of thing.

I think it’s a nice touch to include local treats- salty and sweet, water, and also an itinerary. If we do welcome bags, I’ll include a map, showing local sights as well as ceremony/reception location. I’m also thinking a small sunscreen and bug spray since we’re planning to be outdoors and I’m always bad about remembering to bring some, and tissues for those prone to happy tears. Depending on the vibe of your wedding, Advil might be nice for potential hangovers. There are tons of ideas on Pinterest for specific locations/themes to tie it into your wedding specifically.

Water & snacks are most appreciated. Local snacks are fun if avail. A local map is good too. I’d skip cheap flip flops, sunglasses, koozies or other trinkets they’ll probably just toss.

I'd also add a little information card that will include details on shuttle pick up times, brunch the following day, etc (if you have any of those things). Stuff that may be on your website but also good for them to know again. Like other posters said, I'll also be including mini water bottles, a couple snacks, a mini bottle of champagne.

We are putting two water bottles, a two pack of advil, a two pack of pepto, a pack of gum, a small bag of hershey kisses, one other snack item, and a welcome pamphlet!

    Hi!!
So, I'm still up in the air a bit but here are some ideas (no, I don't think I'll add all.....my fiance would kill me) LoL
    Waters w/personalized labels (printing myself)
Salt water TaffyDried berries and nuts snackAleve, Tums, hand sanitizer
    Map of the area
    Itinerary
    Do not disturb sign (personalized)
    (Don't know what else)

    For families with kids:
The girls will get a coloring book with colored pencils and the boys a small Legos set....to keep them entertained! LoL

    Thanks for asking!!

    Great ideas, Sandra!

Will your out-of-town guests be in for a few days and have time to explore? If so, would you consider making a list of nice places to eat, things to do, etc. if they want to check out the area? Misty created something like this for her welcome bags. You could create and print it yourself so it would be super cost effective Smiley smile You can check it out what Misty did here - Welcome Bags.
