Welcome Bags: Overrated or Underrated?

Overrated. We are skipping these, they're just an unnecessary expense in my opinion.

Overrated. Just adds extra work, that is unnecessary

Underrated. It's nice to show appreciation to those that are traveling for your wedding.

Overrated. I'd only do this if I was having a destination wedding.

Depending on what is in them i think they're a good idea and a thoughtful touch.

So I’m doing a DW and have decided to make our welcome bags our thank you for coming & favors all in one. I have specific things I plan to add to them to make them more like a little gift.

I'm actually going underrated on this one. Its these personal touches that really go a long way for the traveling guest.

Overrated. Programs, place cards, done.

Never heard of this. Thought it was my wedding not just a party for everyone coming.

I haven't even thought about this. I think it is a cute idea to put something together for people to remember your wedding night.

Depends. I think overrated, but if you want to go them, then go for it. We're skipping these.

Way overrated. I never understood these or favors. There's no need to spend more than you already are, especially for something that probably won't really be remembered.

Underrated! I can’t tell you how much I appreciate these when I get to the hotel for a wedding...especially the next morning. It’s one of those personal touches

I'm having a mixed feeling about these. I want to do them but I don't want to do extra work. They're a nice touch, but slightly overrated.

Overrated. I think favors are the standard. Those I can get on board with. But putting together a whole bag seems to be over doing it a bit.

Overrated. I was going to skip them but my mom really wanted something for our OOT families so she put them together.

I'm gonna say overrated. We are doing a DW and yes, I get that our guests are traveling to come to it but it's one more thing to have to do. The whole reason for a DW in my opinion is less people and less work. It's more intimate already so I'll be able to thank everyone verbally multiple times. That means more to me than some gift bag full of stuff they'll likely just toss lol

Overrated, most of my guests will be traveling to our wedding but welcome bags seem kinda over the top considering everything else. Just an unnecessary expense in my book.
