I have been planning the wedding around the philosophy that anyone who really wants to be there will be there. Thoughts?

We are having our wedding on a Monday (our anniversary date), so is my brother and my fsil had hers on a Wednesday. Ours will be small and having it on a weekday has saved us a ton of money. The only people who have complained about the date is my parents. I say if you want to have it on a weekday go ahead. There is nothing wrong with having a wedding on a weekday.

I was recently on the flip side of this. My cousin is getting married on a Monday across the county and I have literally no PTO left because of the time I will need to take off for my own wedding. I will not be able to attend and I'm SUPER upset about it because I would love to be there. If you have cleared it with the important people I say go for it, but just know that it might be a hardship for other guests.

We have the same anniversary. I am not getting married on our anniversary because we didn't want to get married on a weekday. However, you could always sign your wedding license on 9/20 and have the ceremony and reception on that Saturday, just a thought. But its your day, give people enough time to rsvp and make arrangements, don't worry about who can or cant come. If you and your fiance are happy with your date choice than that is all that matters.
