Weekday Bridal Shower

I don't think it should be a problem, unless most of the people they're inviting have evening work schedules.

Might not be too bad. People have jewelry party's and purse party's and stufff like that on weeknights.

FSIL and I hosted a bridal shower for other FSIL on a Thursday evening. It was well attended by a combination of FSILs friends and FMILs friends. I do not see a problem with a weekday shower.

I think alot of people would perfer it that way they don't have to loose a day from there weekend and most people are going to be going on holidays around this time of year

As for a weekday, I'm hoping you mean evening, like from 6-8 in the evening any earlier and it would be inconvenient unless the people they are inviting don't work. If you are doing evening and offer some decent food (because the guests will need someo kind of dinner) then go for it. If she wants to do something in the middle of the day where people actualyl have to take off work, then I wouldn't expect a lot of people to show.

You can do a weekday evening, maybe even a Friday night would be good.

I don't see a problem unless old people have to drive at night

I mean it's summer so the sun's out till like 9pm and teachers and students are all off

Thanks y'all, everyone made some really good points and I feel a little more at ease possibly accepting a weekday shower. Thursday doesn't sound too bad. And you're right Amy G... people do have their Mary Kay and something or another parties during the week.
