Wedding website

So, I’ve been looking at wedding invitations and such. I have found one I really like, but it doesn’t have a matching website. I have chosen an online RSVP and registry. How big of a deal is it to have a matching website? I mean people are probably going to be holding the invite while going to my website. Would it look odd to not match? Should I pick another invite instead? I know I’m probably way overthinking this...

I think you’re definitely overthinking but what Bride doesn’t?! A year from now, no one will remember if your wedding website matched your stationary. Just pick something closest to your theme or colors. Or pick whatever you like!

Invitations generally don't have matching websites. Your guests will not notice or care honestly if the website is designed identically. They will look at the invitation, be excited to make plans, stick the invite on the fridge and send in the reply. Websites for weddings are such a brand new idea that guests may or may not visit them in the first place. If they do check them out, they just care if the information is easy to read like any other website and art is secondary. Pick the invites you love and don't worry about the rest.

You don't need a matching website. We did our invites separately and just put the wedding website on our invitation details page.

My website isn't remotely close to what our wedding has turned into lol. It matches our original plan of happy pastel colors but now our wedding is black and white marble with pops of wine and navy blue with silver linings. I refuse to change it because 1. I like it and I spent waaaaayyyyy to much time on it and 2. There's no rule that your site has to match. You're good to do with your website whatever you please.

Literally no one will notice if your website matches your invitation.

Definitely don't need to match but I can see how that will be concerning for you as we all want everything to be perfect. In my opinion the diversity will make it unique and beautiful in its own way. I say GO FOR IT! Smiley laugh

I’ve never attended a wedding where the invites matched the website. Sure, some websites that allow you to make your wedding website offer matching invitations, but you are not obligated to purchase them. Get whichever invitations you want.

It’s not a not a big deal at all. No one will care. Plus you don’t want to be overly matchy-matchy anyway or it gets cheesy. So the website (and save the dates) are good times to break that up. Our website doesn’t match and I prefer it. The website it simply black and white (No designs). Purposely chose it since our wedding has lots of color.

Mine doesn't match. I dont think I've ever seen one that does. I like my invites but I love my website. It definitely has an us vibe, more than our invites. We chose to do a less expensive invite so it was something we liked a lot but not loved.
