Wedding Website covid Page?

Cristina, on June 29, 2020 at 5:07 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 6
Hello fellow COVID Brides! We were originally supposed to get married in May but had to postpone, and now we’re planning for the end of September. (Still holding onto hope we won’t have to postpone a second time 🤞🏻🙏🏻.) What have you done to relay information on your wedding website?

We have a small statement about the postponement and that we’re watching COVID updates etc. I wasn’t sure if I should have a separate tab for COVID questions to show guests what precautions are being taken, and try to give a little peace of mind? Or does that make things seem worse and draw too much attention to COVID and take away from the joy of the wedding? I’m honestly not sure how to handle it... this whole pandemic has thrown everything for a loop. Thanks in advance!

If you have an faq page then that would go there just fine

I would either put it on a FAQ page or a short dedicated post/page. I did a short dedicated post on my “details” page (i used the knot’s website) that stated we are closely monitoring the COVID situation in NY (we live in CO), and briefly listed the precautions our venue has shared with us so far. I only just set invites out last week so I haven’t received any feedback from anyone on if that was helpful or not, but I hope it is!

I plan to put a covid tab on my website. The way I see it, there is no use trying to pretend it’s not a concern. I know people are going to be seeking out covid info so why not? However, we live in Hawaii and most of our guests are from the mainland so I have more info to share regarding travel restrictions. If you just have a short blurb to share, I think you could go either way

Yes that’s a good point, I guess there’s no way getting around it. Several of our guests will be coming from out of town as well, so I’m sure they’ll be interested. Thanks!

I agree - I'd put in on a "Details" or "FAQ" page so it's easy to find but also doesn't draw negative attention!
