So I woke up this morning and for some horrible reason I decided to check the weather forecast for not this Saturday, but next and it said 84 and raining I wish I never checked. It's every brides worst nightmare to have rain on their wedding day! I hope it changes as the days go on but ugh ...

So I woke up this morning and for some horrible reason I decided to check the weather forecast for not this Saturday, but next and it said 84 and raining Smiley sad I wish I never checked. It's every brides worst nightmare to have rain on their wedding day! I hope it changes as the days go on but ugh Smiley sad awful way to start the day! How did previous brides deal with rain on their wedding day? I'd love to hear stories to make me feel better!

But you can get such great pictures!' I know it's not ideal but try to make the best of it. Get some pretty umbrellas for you and the wedding party!

I'm sorry you're stressing over the weather. I got married in a legitimate hurricane/flood. My venue shut down and we had to get married in a rental house. Sooo you wont get my sympathy on a little bit of rain LOL. You'll be fine.

My friend was married in a blizzard. It snowed so bad only 25 of the 240 guests showed up. She has super cute pictures on the subway in NYC tho because the limo company canceled, the only option from the church to the reception was the subway. She was upset but after going on her honeymoon the next day and coming home 2 weeks later, she was still married and the more intimate wedding was a blast!

Actually, my only nightmare is my groom not showing up. Or everyone dying on the way to the wedding. Or some other horrific event. Weather is the least of my concerns.

I am getting married in Central Florida where it literally thunderstorms every afternoon. We are forecasted for thunderstorms as well. Yea it kind of sucks, but a good photographer can get great pictures anywhere!

It's way too early to tell. Like you, I checked obsessively every day in the 10 days up to my wedding and every single day, it said rain. It rained that morning and stopped at 2pm and it literally started again as we were doing the recessional, it was perfect. Rain on your wedding day is good luck!

Also, my good friend got married this past January in 30" of snow, it can always be worse!

It's actually not my *worst* nightmare, so not *every* bride's worst nightmare.

Calm down, trust your venue manager/DOC/whomever, and embrace whatever does happen. If at the end of it all you're married, nbd right??

You checked too early. Don't worry about it until maybe a day or two before your date. Weather changes its mind all the time. Smiley smile

DH works for one of the local news stations where we live. He would talk to the meteorologists there and all told him not to pay attention to weather forecasts (especially in regards to rain) until 3 days before. We had rain forecasted for our wedding day and instead of worrying I just made sure to confirm the back-up plans with my vendors to make sure everyone was on the same page. It rained all morning the day of our wedding and even threatened to rain when the ceremony started. We moved things under cover literally last minute but it all turned out beautifully. It was gorgeous and breezy all evening!
