Ok ladies I need help my wedding is in 10 days and I need help with wedding vows. I haven’t been to a wedding in a while so I can’t remember how it’s supposed to go. The only thing I have so far is the opening of thanking everyone for coming out lol I know I need more than that. Plus after we exchange rings we will have a sand ceremony with our 3 kids.

Your officiant might be able to help you with this. officiants usually have a template they use. so if you ask them for it, you can just edit it to your pleasing. that's what i did

Don’t thank everyone for coming the vows are for your fh not your guests try to write them down as a letter why you love him etc than say I promise to be your best friend to make you laugh to defend you and to love you

I would go on the internet and look at vows. There are tons of different ideas, templates, cultural elements, and great ideas out there to look at and you can combine from a bunch of them to put it all together.

The rest of the ceremony that you're referring to (thanking everyone, etc.) the officiant will probably have a plan for.

Ask your officiant for ideas. Some people write their own vows and some people repeat the officiant's script.

I agree with PP. you don’t need to thank people for coming. Your vows should be directed toward your FH and share yours feelings, commitments, etc. Look online for ideas but write from your heart.

I wouldn't thank people for coming or address your guests at all during the vows. The vows are meant to be promises towards your husband... you should just be addressing your husband during them!

The way I came up with my vows was really just looking up examples of vows online and reading a lot of them. Then I pulled some inspiration from ones I found online, kinda used some lines from them to get me started, and then made it my own.

Here's a link to some vows that I got inspiration from! https://www.theknot.com/content/favorite-wedding-vows-from-real-weddings

If you want to say something thanking your guests, it could be nice to make a toast at the reception. Smiley smile
