Are you getting one or do you know people who regret not having a videographer?

Any tips and how much did you spend on yours?

Thanks!

Photos cant capture the feelings videos can. If you can afford it, I would highly consider it.

We got an iphone tripod and got my sister’s boyfriend to record the ceremony. Then we did screen recordings of people’s snapchat story videos. I also told my BMs and mom to take lots of videos. I ended up stitching together 10 minutes worth of video — only one minute being during the ceremony. And all it cost me was an iphone tripod and the Adobe subscription I already pay for (iMovie comes free on Mac if you don’t have adobe)
With that being said, I would be so sad if I didn’t have any videos. I don’t think it absolutely has to be super professional, though.

Personally I’m SOOO glad we hired a videographer! He made a short video with our wedding highlights and it is so freaking lovely and I cried when I watched it and several of our family members and friends told us that they cried too when they watched it (even though they attended our wedding, lol)! Like others have said, the day goes by so fast and having a video really helps you remember the day. Anyone who didn’t have one doesn’t really know what they were missing and I don’t believe I’ve ever seen someone who did hire one post that they wish they hadn’t (I haven’t read all the posts in this thread but I have on similar threads).

Ours cost around $1,200 for the whole day. I saw plenty who cost a lot more but I kept looking until I found someone with reasonable prices and good reviews.

We added a videographer but only because we eloped in Greece and we wanted to be able for our family and friends to see a short video of it. They all knew we were eloping and now have been so happy after watching the video 😉

I personally think it's a waste because how many times are you really going to sit down and look at that video besides the couple of times right after your wedding. My pictures alone with album included were $4400 and if i would have got the videography with it it would have costed a little over $3000 so all in all the whole cost would be around $7000 which i thought was ridiculous. I just thought to myself why would I spend that kind of money on something that is just going to sit in my closet over the years when I can spend that money on something else for my wedding. So i think videography isn't worth it but definately get the album that will be used more than a video would.
