Wedding Veil help

Celeste, on October 22, 2021 at 1:27 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 17
Hi friends!
I am totally torn on what to do for a veil. I chose a simple dress d I kind of want my veil to have a little bit more detail.
But I am completely in the dark when it comes to veils. I tried on a fingertip veil with tear drop gems that I absolutely loved… but I am curious to the other types out there, and don’t know enough about the different designs to even search for what I MAY be looking for.
Would bridal shops let me go in and look at their veils? Even try them on?
I would appreciate any and all advice. Thank you so much!! Wedding Veil help 1

You could try a cathedral length veil but if you have found one you love you could just go with that one. Smiley smile I think a veil is personal as well and you should go with what you love Smiley smile

Well maybe you should go and try a few more on then LOL 😆 . You might love a cathedral length instead of the finger tip Smiley smile. You also might end up going back to the first one Smiley smile

Yeah I don't know the answer to that question as I live in Australia and got my veil from my sister-in-law Smiley smile. I imagine you would be able to go and try veils on though as they are there to be sold to people. Smiley smile

I love a detailed veil! I bought mine (a cathedral length covered in petal-like embroidery) before I chose my dress, so I can’t speak to your question about the shops, but I’d think any shop worth doing business with would be happy to help you veil shop. I bought my dress and veil from a little boutique and the woman who ran it just got such joy from what she did that I couldn’t imagine her turning down a request for a veil appointment.

There are so many options when it comes to veils. Theres: birdcage, fingertip, chapel and cathedral. My dress is pretty ornate so I just went with a plain chapel length veil. I'm pretty sure you can try on veils. You'll know the right one when you try it on. Congratulations on your upcoming wedding!

    Hi Celeste,

I'm a veil designer. With your particular gown, I think a cathedral veil would be gorgeous!! I'm happy to help anyway I can. 😊❤ I'm wearing a blush Monarch length veil with clear and vintage rose colored Swarovski crystals and pearls. Can't wait to see the sunlight make it sparkle. I've used the late Princess Diana's veil as my inspiration. Any reputable bridal salon should be thrilled to have you try on their veils. Do you want a blusher ( the part that goes over your face)? How are you wearing your hair? Definitely shop around. Veils can get very pricey.

First of all your dress is gorgeous! I think your dress would look gorgeous with a long veil.
