Hi there so I've found a wedding venue that we both really love and it's 5500! My question is for those that have maintained a 10k budget.. what vendors did you use for everything else for the Wedding? I need some serious help!! Thank you so much!

About half your budget should be allocated to your reception. If you are paying $5,500 for just the space (no food or drinks), you are not going to end up with a $10,000 wedding.

Our wedding is a 10k budget. Our guest list is under 50 and our venue(food and alcohol included) will only run us 3k. We will be able to have our dream wedding because we r keeping the guest list short.

We are doing our whole wedding for about 5k. Our venue included food, drinks, cake, tables, linens, plates, forks. 1200 for the venue. Our guest list is 50 people. My dress was 950. We are using a friend that I have had for 20 years for photography and she charged us less then 1/4 of her price. We are just basically doing a family dinner with a wedding ceremony. It may not be what some people like but it's exactly what WE want and we paid off the entire wedding and honeymoon In two months

I'd really recommend looking for a more affordable venue. My budget is $10k and we had to look long and hard to find something we liked in our price point. We settled on a place that costs $2k for ceremony and reception space plus all tables and chairs. We're having 130 guests but to stay on budget even with 30% more guests than you and a venue that's about 1/3 of the price, we've had to go very basic on A LOT. $13/pp BBQ buffet, cheapest DJ we could find ($650), specially designed mini-package through photographer ($500), no flowers other than 2 things of bulk baby's breath from Costco, sheet cake for guests, weddinh rings totaling only $75, etc. Just because you love this venue doesn't mean it's a realistic option for you with your budget. Keep looking and you'll find something you and your budget can agree on!

My budget is less than 10K and I didn't spend $5500 On a venue or invite 100 people. That's how we will stay in budget. What you're looking at for venue is what we're spending for venue and food for 50. We are also spending very little on attire ($400 for both of us), decor, etc. I would keep looking for a venue and possibly rethink how many guests you can fit into the budget. Is it possible that the venue would be less expensive on another day or time of year?

Our wedding was $30,000 and our venue rental was only $1000 and that included ceremony space, reception space, setup, take down, reception tables/chairs/linens/candles. I can’t believe you would pay $5500 for venue alone.

My budget is also $10k and my venue was only $1800 of that. I will also have about 100 guests. Some good ways I found to cut down on cost is to only serve beer and wine instead of a full open bar and making my own silk floral arrangements and bouquets. It can definitely be done but your venue should not be over half of your budget because you still need money for photography, DJ, food, cake, alcohol, HMUA, etc.

I don't really see how you can have a 10K budget with a venue that costs 5500 just to rent. My budget is about $9k. We are inviting about 75 guests and having the reception in the private room of a restaurant, so there isn't a rental fee. It will be a $25 pp buffet dinner, and we have budget about $4700 for food, alcohol, and gratuity. Décor and DIY photobooth are budgeted for about $1300, we have a combined dj/doc that is $1500, and our photographer is $600. Everything else is odds and ends like hotel room, gifts, and invitations. Our budget doesn't include my dress, hair and make-up, or FH's suit, so if you are paying for that you have to budget that in too. It adds up fast! Good luck!

I'm doing mine under 10k and really the only thing we've had to compromise on is the reception venue. It's not our dream location but we are going to decorate the heck outta it and make it look fabulous, other than that I don't feel like I'm "cutting" on anything.

10k is doable but I wouldn’t spend that much on the venue if that’s your budget. I would try to keep your venue at $1000 or under. Try checking the parks in your city. That’s what we ended up doing. A lot of them have pavilions and what not that can be rented.
