Wedding timeline!

Carrie, on June 26, 2019 at 9:43 PM Posted in Planning 0 4
I was reading all of the wedding timelines and times the other ladies are getting ready. And I have no clue we are getting married 630 pm and it’s just three people getting hair and makeup done so I am not sure what is a good time.

I would ask your make up artist and hair stylist to give you their timeline. Then ask photographer and go from there. Usually walk your way of the timeline depending on what you want done before the ceremony like if doing first look, bridal portraits, getting ready photos. Get your vendors first to make it easier for you and then adjust.

Yes, I agree! Talk to your vendors and see what kind of timeline they need and you can plan accordingly from there. Trust me, I am relying on vendors and friends that are brides with experience because I am not good with timing! Lol..I’m sure it will all work out great for you!

I'm getting married at a destination wedding at 5pm sunset. I also have 2 attendants and my mother getting hair and makeup done. They can handle 4 people at once and told me it takes 2 hours per person (sometimes longer) so they insist that we start at 1 and will be done around 3 (to allow for extra time if needed). They said that we need to plan for the extra time to finish getting ready. That seemed early to me but it makes sense especially if you have any pictures with your bridesmaids or bridal portraits ahead of the reception. If you only have 1 or 2 people doing hair/makeup you should work backwards to determine start time. I googled a timeline and found a good article and they estimated a lot more time per person for hair and makeup especially for the bride. The person doing hair, makeup should be able to help you estimate that but I would be ready to get dressed at least 1-2hours before show time.

My ceremony was 5p but we had to do set up of ceremony ourselves. And before that we did photos. So definitely figure out when you'd wanna do your pics and how much time you'll need for set up if at all
