Having a girls weekend right before the wedding sounds like such a fun idea! Awesome that you'll meet up for breakfast the morning of your wedding. Are you doing a first look? Or will the first time you see each other after getting ready on your wedding day be at the altar?

How cool that you're getting married on your tenth anniversary! My fiance and I are also staying together the night before our wedding, for a similar reason.

We’re still doing a first look since we’ll both be getting ready separately at the venue in our separate groom/bride suites. After first looks we’ll get most of our pictures done before the ceremony with family and then get just a few more afterward. That way we still have time to enjoy cocktail hour with our guests following the ceremony and we’re not just spending the whole hour taking pictures after we say our I do’s.
We won’t be spending the night together, but not because of superstition. We have pets at home, so he will be spending the night there. I’ll be staying overnight at a cabin at our venue so I’m already there for the early morning!

This sounds similar to what my fiance and I are doing! We'll also be staying together the night before, then eating breakfast together on the morning of our wedding, and then parting ways until our first look.

Very cool that you're following the tradition! And I totally agree, staying apart will make seeing each other for the first time on the wedding day even more special than it already is.

Hi Lisa I hope that you are well no we will not doing first looks. He said he rather wait until he sees me coming down the aisle. So we will be away from each other until our rehearsal dinner and wedding day. And I am happy that we are bec I really want to get his very first reaction and not him smiling. So I'm glad that we are following some traditions

The first touch is a super sweet alternative to the first look! Your walk down the aisle and seeing each other for the first time that day will be a beautiful moment for you both.

Haha, that sounds like it would be quite the debate over who gets the puppy that night! I'm sure you'll figure out a good solution. Awesome that you're following the tradition! Are you doing a first look before your ceremony? Or will the first time you see each other on your wedding day be at the altar?

I love the idea of being able to spend cocktail hour with everyone, instead of using that time for photos! My fiance and I had a similar thought, so we're also doing a first look before the ceremony, and getting almost all photos out of the way ahead of time.

So I’m so superstitious I’m not going to but I really freaking want to. We’re just going to supply the guests with alcohol and then take the photos after. It’s our wedding- so sorry everyone but we’re going to take the time to get some cute photos!
We might do first touch photos. It will feel really nice to squeeze his hand before I walk down the aisle even if we don’t see eachother
We already live together but will be staying separate the night before so my bridesmaids and I can do breakfast, hair, and make up the day of. We will not do a first look simply because I love the excitement of him not being able to see me until I come down the aisle

Right?! Like I’ve spent all this money and time picking out drinks, appetizers, music, activities, and entertainment/games that I think my guests and myself will enjoy during the cocktail hour. You best believe I’m going to carve out as much time as I can to spend it with my friends, family, and husband lol!

Nothing wrong at all with being superstitious! And yes! Definitely take the time to do cute photos during cocktail hour, your guests will be totally fine socializing while you're away. The first touch is a great alternative to the first look!
