Wedding songs?/ outdoor wedding question

Mikayla, on March 22, 2016 at 10:20 PM Posted in Community Conversations 0 8

Alright guys I am struggling to figure out what songs I want to play in the actual wedding ceremony! I'm having a boho type wedding and I love indie type music but I'm having a hard time finding a song for the bridesmaids and groomsmen to walk down the aisle to and of course for me to walk down the aisle to. I really like flightless bird American mouth but I know that's just really overused in weddings. Another question to those of you having outdoor weddings.. I'm scared playing the music will be awkward since its outside? I'm scared it won't be loud enough.

My wedding was outside. Are you having a DJ that will be present with sound equipment? If not, you will need to rent a good sound system for both the music and a microphone so everyone can hear your vows (this could depend on how many guests you have, but I think its always a good idea)

I'm going to have about 150 but the benches outside are curved to where everybody will be moderately close. I have a DJ but I'm scared he might not have enough equipment because he only has one sound system, which will be set up at the reception. I might look into renting!

I just thought of DJ because I had my ceremony and reception at the same venue. My ceremony area became the dance floor! It actually didn't matter though because I had a mariachi band play the ceremony music!

You will absolutely want a microphone for the ceremony - trust me!

Definitely practice with the music the day before (during rehearsal if possible). I've seen wedding ceremony music just not work out b/c last minute issues came up.

That said, Signed Sealed Delivered is cute for when the ceremony is over!
