Wedding song to remember mom and dad

Jill, on September 20, 2019 at 7:01 AM Posted in Wedding Ceremony 0 5
Hi brides!!
i have wrote a lot asking question, but this is a big one. Well my father passed away 10 years ago and a month ago my mom passed, so it’s just me and my brother. We are doing the father daughter dance but as much as I want to honor my dad; I want to include my mom. I thought maybe forever young by rod stewart. I am having a hard time thinking of a song. My wedding is in 2 weeks... I would love something special we can both dance to honor our parents. Any ideas??? I can’t find anything on the internet 😞
thank you so so much

Did your parents have a favorite song that they always like to dance to? If so do that and have your DJ make an announcement to that affect.

Even if they didn't dance to it - was there a song they loved to listen to together? I do like "Forever Young" as a choice though or "Young at Heart" maybe? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BG7suS4YJWk

When a father figure in my spiritual community passed they played "Time In A Bottle" for him and it brought us all to tears. Whenever I think of a song to remember loved ones that are no longer with us, especially with a parental role, I think of that one. I would also suggest playing their song if they had one.
