Hi guys! I’m 268 days out from my wedding and curious about something. Who here made a cosmetic or lifestyle change of some kind that you were really glad you had done by the time the wedding arrived? Examples like teeth whitening/straightening, a fitness routine, eyelash or hair extensions, quit drinking alcohol a few months before the wedding etc?

That being said, I’m in full support of rocking whoever you already are at your wedding of course! Just curious if anyone was thrilled about some change they made for the wedding. 🙂❤️

After having my still born son I decided to loose the weidht through keto and start eating healthier so I can not only fit into my dress but so I can gain the self confidence that I want. My fiance says I am beautiful and I don't need to loose the weight but if I want too he will fully support me. just want to get more active and slim down some

I have been going to the spa to get facials and I am doing some laser on my face. I had a lot of acne as a young adult and have always been self conscious about the scars. Planning my wedding gave me an excuse to actually do it and I'm totally happy I am.

Curious: why do you recommend against lash extensions for the wedding??? I’ve been planning on getting mine done because I. Am. A. Crier. And was worried about false lashes/mascara getting ruined. But now I’m second guessing!

Just overall getting in shape made me feel so much better. I ended up cutting out processed carbs which just made my body feel so much better which ended up making my skin look phenomenal and me feeling very confident about myself. I don’t promote changing a diet or a changing your routine just because of a wedding however if there was something that you have done in the past that really made you feel great your wedding is a great excuse to start that again

I used to have a terrible habit of ripping my nails, my cuticles etc. They looked awful. I’ve been trying to take better care of them and use both hand cream and cuticle cream etc. So far it has been working really well.

There’s a few other things I want to work on, too. For one, my exercise regimen and my eating happens. Ironically, my eating habits are the one thing that have gotten worse since FH and I got together.

I’ve been eating healthier and working out. So far I’ve lost 30 lbs. My ultimate goal is 10 more, but I only have until February 5th because that is when my first dress fitting is so it’s crunch time. My fitness coach that sets up my workouts just gave me a new one called Bridal Bootcamp. For eating I started with WW and then switched to Noom to remotivate me in the fall. I did get Botox for the first time right before our engagement pictures (I’ve always had the worry wrinkles that bother me so much) and I’m trying to decide if I want to get it again. I bought a halo hair extension for the day (I want a hair down look for the wedding). To get extensions put in just for that day was too pricey for me. My main reason for doing these things is so I have confidence on my wedding day and am happy with how I look. Regardless if you end up doing anything I’m sure you will look beautiful!!

Not married just yet, but I just recently got my eyebrows microbladed/shaded and I am so elated that I went through with it! Making my eyebrows look even in the morning was the longest and most painful part of my makeup routine! lol Now I literally get to wakeup with the brows I always wish I had. ☺️

I’m probably sharing a lot more than other future brides-but I’m open lol- I reeeaaalllyyyyy want a breast augmentation if I can before I get married. It’s been something I’ve wanted for idk how long now, however I honestly won’t be upset if I can’t. There’s plenty of other and more worth the price priorities on my list as well☺️

I tried cheek fillers and agree, will not be doing again lol. Facial sugaring sounds pleasant! I’ve never tried it.

I’ve found that on the other side of 30 years old it is harder to stay in shape as easily lol. 😬 so the wedding is a good “deadline” to help spur the changes, but I definitely want to make overall life ones! That’s a great point. What sort of processed carbs did you cut out? Bread and pasta?

Oh man mine too! My FH is French and the amount of cheese, baguettes, butter, and red wine in my diet has increased ten fold. 😂

Oh wow good for you lady! 👏🏼👏🏼 I’m sure you can do the extra 10! Are you a fan of noom? I tried it but couldn’t initially see how it could be helpful. Maybe I wrote I it off too quickly though. Definitely will look up a halo hair extension now, sounds like a great alternative! I was imagining a half up half down style.
