Wedding ring dilemma

I have a beautiful engagement ring, but I can't wear a straight ring, and I hate curved bands. I thought I might get something beautiful to wear on my right hand... But FH doesn't like that idea. I have no idea what to do.... The littlest things are going to be the death of me.

What about an open gap wedding band? It will give you the straight band look, but will still fit nicely with your ering.

My e-ring is a pink sapphire heart and like you, I did not want a curved wedding band. I actually found a nice straight band from the Pandora collection, believe it or not, at Jared's that fits perfect! It not technically a "wedding band" but hey it fits, looks great, and was not as expensive!

Why doesn’t FH like the idea of wedding band on right hand? I hope he is not afraid people will think you’re single because the ring is not on the “right” hand lol.

I’m in the same situation, my e-ring is super unique & very large. I’m obsessed with it & will not be adding wedding band to it because it will be too crowded & it will just distract from e-ring, which is a one-off piece of jewelry. So I will wear wedding band on my right hand!

Btw in many countries & cultures wedding ring is worn on right hand (including my home country). So this is not uncommon at all & if that’s what makes you happy, you should do it!

    Thank you!

The diamonds in the band are actually asschers (so I guess a squared emerald cut). Here's a link to the designer: https://www.laurenbjewelry.com/3-15-ct-asscher-cut-white-gold-eternity-band.html

Right I don't understand his hesitation... I found a beautiful ring that would be awesome on the other hand.

Oh yes, that’s quite a unique & beautiful band, you should definitely not combine it with your e-ring! It’s awesome that you have unique taste in jewelry (I’m the same & my rings are important to me). Just follow your heart & do what makes you happy! You are the one who will wear both rings for the rest of your life, so you should be excited every time you look at them 😊

I love my engagement ring. It is exactly what I wanted. I'm not buying a wedding band to pair with it. I think it would be too bulky and I wouldn't like it. Plus, I just don't want to mess with trying to find a band I like.

I'm gonna be untraditional here and suggest that why don't you just skip the wedding band altogether? Your ring is stunning and if you don't like the way something fits with it than why not just skip it? He will be your husband whether you have another ring to add on your fingers or not. You could get him something or spend more money on his to personalize the underside with a message since you'd save money. Or you both could decide on something other than wedding bands (like matching tattoos, tattoo rings, some type of bracelet, or something unique to the 2 of you!....you could always write another post for ideas!)

Well, we visited the custom jeweler that made my ring in the first place yesterday. And we chose to go with a right hand ring. You can see it above. I am still bummed I couldn't find anything I liked to fit next to it. But I am happy with the choice of a vintage right hand ring.

I'm not a big fan of the curved band look. I love the inspo pictures from above. I think a straight band would still look great!
