Wedding Registry or not?

When my sister got married last year we did this for her shower. We did a Christmas in July theme and instead of gifts had everyone bring something for toys for tots. It went over very well, so personally I love your idea. You’re gonna have people say “know your crowd” or that your guests aren’t going to want to donate to a charity as they would prefer to give something directly to you. But honestly I think it’s a super sweet and good idea, and I personally would have zero issue with doing this for a couple. It’s always nice to see someone want to help others!

I love the idea and I’m sure your guests will be happy to purchase toys.

This is a beautiful way to do it! i know some people in lieu of favors donate to charity. So for you instead of gifts for the bride and groom ask to bring toys is amazing! i think its a wonderful idea. guests will love the idea as well!

I think this sounds incredibly sweet, and if someone gives you "that look" what does it say about them? Cuz honestly, what kind of person had a thing against giving toys to children in need? Not someone I would want in my life lol.

This is such a cute and thoughtful idea! I would definitely add it to the details card or to the website that in lieu of gifts, we will be excepting new, unwrapped toys for Toys for Tots at the wedding. I would make sure to have a big bin of some kind at the entrance of your venue.
