Hi lovelies! My family is from Tennessee, but I am living in Berlin, Germany and can't quite figure out what to do in regards to our wedding registry. My family is from Tennessee, but I am living in Berlin, Germany and can't quite figure out what to do in regards to our wedding registry. Does anyone else live abroad and have some pointers?

I don't want my family to ship things overseas to me from the U.S. as that would be costly for them, then I would have to pay customs fees and duties. Also, most of my friends and family at home aren't savvy enough to purchase something on a German website and have it shipped to us.

The only things I have found thus far are via ETSY or an Anthropologie UK wish list (which is still super expensive compared to the store in America because it's priced in British pounds). Any advice or tips would be greatly appreciated!

Let me know if you find an answer! Same situation here. Zola has a button that lets you add things from other sites with an option to get the cash equivilant or redirect guests to buy it themselves. Still looking for a site that I like. Kustermann works but I don't like any of their stuff and it's a huge mark-up from US prices for the same appliances.

https://www.e-breuninger.de/de/haeuser/stuttgart/hochzeitsservice/ The link has all the info about a registry run solely by a LOVELY woman employed by the upscale department store Breuninger out of their Stuttgart location. I am so excited as I really think this will work!

She is creating a registry based on our selections from the product lines Breuninger carries (she is willing to add items from the manufacturer that are not generally carried by the store) which our guests can access online. There is an English translation option. Then once our guest selects an item, that information is sent to the registry consultant and she generates a return email with a url through which the guest may pay via credit card. No Bank draft or other unusual arrangement needed. It’s not quite the same as a US based registry would be but it is the next best thing - at least based on my extensive searching. Hope this can help someone else.
