Wedding Registry Must Haves

Samantha, on July 10, 2019 at 2:33 PM Posted in Registry 0 7

So I am updating my registry list because my sister (who is throwing my bridal shower) said I do not have enough stuff on there. I put the basics down but we've lived together long enough that if there's anything we want, we just go buy it. I don't want to end up with a bunch of stuff I'll have to take back. Are there any items you received that you didn't ask for but are happy you got it? I'm trying to think outside the box here but we are currently renting a small apartment to save money for a home so we don't have a ton of space to store a bunch of stuff. Any helpful ideas are most welcome!!!

    Register for upgrades!

    New towels in the bathroom

    New sheets/comforter/duvet for your bed

New pots and pans, a knife set, new dishes, glassware

Serving dishes, you may be hosting holidays soon

I'm really looking forward to the InstaPot, I broke our last rice cooker. Smiley sad

And FH is really looking forward to the Nesspresso machine, he loves coffee.

We put on some fun stuff on amazon like board games, camping stuff, stuff for cookouts or parties, and fun decor as well!

I'd register for upgrades of things like towels & sheets & stuff like that. We registered for a matching set of really nice colanders and really nice strainers and a nice can opener. Things we wouldn't upgrade ourselves but would like nicer matching versions of. And smart home accessories. Then things like board games, camping stuff, stuff for our dog, etc. I'd have more items under $50 for a shower than for your wedding for sure. We had a full registry and someone bought me a ninja foodi for our shower ($200 gift). It was SO nice but we have an instant pot and don't need one nor do we want one.

Someone recommended registering for items that need upgrading that you wouldn't necessarily buy yourself like matching dinnerware a new coffee maker, new pans, etc. Once I had that in mind it was easy to start thinking of items we could update

I agree with what a lot of people have said about registering for upgrades. My fiancé and I have both lived independently for quite a while now, so not only do we have most of what we need, but we have double of it. We’ve registered for towels, new dishware, new cookware, various serveware.. but also things like a new vacuum, a small firesafe, an air compressor, a nice cooler.. anything that you feel you would use/need on a regular basis!

My fiance put a $1100 flat screen TV on our registry sooooo..... lol

I've always hated the rule of X amount of gifts per guests. No, I'm not adding 250 gifts to my registry just because aunt Linda needs more options.
