Wedding recessional song?

Ansley, on May 4, 2018 at 12:02 PM Posted in Wedding Ceremony 0 17
Can anyone give me ideas/ what you’re doing for the wedding recessional song when you and the bridal party leave the ceremony? We want it to be something up beat. Since we’re getting married in a church, it may have to be a Christian song (I have to double check). So if anyone already has a Christian song picked, let me know! Thanks.

I am not certain what song we will choose, but I intend for all the ceremony music to be instrumental to avoid any restrictions. If there is a song you enjoy that my not be a religious tune, perhaps ask if an instrumental version would be permissible.

Songs I've seen people used that I've liked are "Ho Hey" - The Lumineers, "Riptide" - Vance Joy, "You Make My Dreams Come True" - Hall & Oates

This might not fit your wants or rules (if there are any), but we're doing One I Want by Flatland Cavalry. It's cute, upbeat, and its Texas Country, so of course it fits our venue and style.

This is the right day to say this! We're using the closing credits music from Star Wars.

We’re using “God Only Knows” from Love Actually, by The Beach Boys. That’s kind of religious... Smiley smile

We also got married in a church. Our recessional song was Beethoven's Ode to Joy.
