Wedding Recessional for Outdoor Wedding?

Katy, on November 13, 2011 at 10:41 AM Posted in Planning 0 5

Just wondering how to make this work. My venue is outdoors, and the ceremony will take place on a Gazebo over the lake, Guests will be seated in ampphiteatre style-seating facing the gazebo. The Gazebo and guest seating area both exit/enter at the same point.... (So the gazebo pier and seating area lind of my a "V"... if that makes sense. Anyways, just looking for some ideas for our recessional, since once we finish up, there's nowhere to "wait" that's not out in the open! Any ideas? (fyi, don't know if it make a difference in your answers, but we're having 4 groomsmen and 4 bridemaids. -- 2 girl and one boy are our children)

If you are going to enter from behind the stone amphitheater, is there really no place to hide behind where all those trees are?

or how about a tri-fold trellis that you can stand behind? You could decorate it with some flowers.

Cute idea... hmm... And no, the trees are actually not a dense as they appear in this picture.... and there's another pond just 10 feet behind the top of the hill

Have you talked to the coordinator at your venue? I'm guessing they've done this before and might have a few ideas for you. I like Hayley's idea of using the trellis to hide behind while guest relocate to another location.

There's no coordinator. It's just at a park.
