Hey guys can you tell me about this gift to your spouse... it's this a necessity or can it be skipped?

I believe they’re made of molded resin. I got them from Etsy shop DndDice.

We are skipping it. FH wouldn't know that people normally do this anyway lol.

I have a gift for my FH but it wasn't necessarily the wedding gift, idk if he plans on getting anything for me but I am also not worried about it. Its something I've been wanting to get him but didn't make sense to do until we were married. I bought him a wooden watch (he loves watches) and it is engraved on the back "To my Husband, never forget that I love you. Sometimes its hard to find words to tell you how much you mean to me. If I did anything right in my life, it was when I gave my heart to you.You are my bestfriend, my soulmate, my everything. Forever &Always"

I paid for the upgrade for him to get an additional custom suit when he ordered his wedding suit (also custom). He's 6ft tall and the cost of alterations for the second suit that was part of the promo cost more than upgrading to a custom for the "free suit." he's set with suits for life and gets free alterations for the lifetime of the garment. They're investments and he'll have multiple occasions to wear his suits... unlike a wedding dress. However, if a winter gala or masquerade ball comes up, I can add a fur or dressy stole to mine and pin the train up (like an under bustle) and be set!

Go for it! Even a note and small gesture will make the day even more special. It's the little nuances that you're going to remember. And how awesome will it be for them to open a gift from the one they love the most. I'm doing it, and I cant wait.

We are gonna do it. I asked for earrings in my birthstone (aquamarine so something blue and new) and I'm going to give him a watch/pocket watch that is engraved.

I think its all on how you feel. Some would say it's traditional. Others would disagree. For the most part, I honestly feel it's just another way for the wedding world to get money. Just like weddings do now days with all the venues, flowers, ect..... But I don't think it's going to stop me from doing it. Still debating.

We skipped on doing the gifts because we are paying for most of our wedding. So that was our gift to each other.

It is definitely not a requirement. We originally planned on skipping it. We both love our football teams and when another WW user posted about hers, I knew I had to have it and he would love it so I got a garter with our teams on it.

Not a requirement but we are doing gifts.

I got FH an engraved whiskey decanter, a lighter that is engraved with my handwriting, and a wooden replica of his favorite MotoGP race track that is wall decor.
