Wedding Postponed to Next Year - How to Preserve Wedding Dress

mrslovele, on April 8, 2020 at 1:28 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 5

Sadly my wedding has been postponed to next year due to the Coronavirus. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to preserve my dress and veil? I'm hoping it won't yellow by the time I get married.

Keep it in a dark closet and it should be fine! I had mine in a closet for 15 months before I got married and didn’t preserve it until 6 months after (so it was just hanging in my closet for 2 years and 3 months!) and it didn’t even begin to yellow.

I agree with gen. I bought my dress dec of 2018 and it still looks new. Just keep it in back of your closet. That's what i did. I was worried just like you. But my dress is doing just fine.

    Hi there,

I'm so sorry you had to postpone! I agree with the suggestions above. Keep your dress in a dark closet and you will be set!

Stay positive and hang in there!! You've bought yourself a lot more time and hopefully more peace of mind!

    Smiley heart
