Wedding Planner Payments to Vendors

I have a wedding planner for my wedding in July, 2014, she has held some vendors for us and has told us that we would pay her directly for them, We are getting very close to the wire now and my fiancé and I are concerned about getting a huge bill at once the night of the wedding or 30 days before. Do wedding planners normally hold all the costs to themselves and also have you pay thru them? I am so very confused please let me know.

That sounds very strange to me. I pay all of my vendors directly. Do you have contracts and contact inforation for the vendors?? I would not feel comfortable with that, ut maybe some places do it differently???

Some wedding planners will make payments for you, but she should *definitely* be telling you what the costs are! Don't be afraid to ask her!
