Wedding photobooks for parents Help!

Jolie, on November 4, 2019 at 8:17 AM Posted in Community Conversations 0 3

So for those of you making photobooks as a gift for your parents, how did you go about it? Did you just straight up tell them? I mean it's meant as a gift so I wanted to keep it a surprise. But my mother WILL NOT shut up about my pictures. Keeps asking when they'll be done, what she can do to print them, how can she access them. It's driving me nuts and I honestly want to tell her to shut up and wait. Should I try to say they aren't ready yet when they actually are? Or just tell her she can't make a photobook? I don't want to ruin the surprise but I would imagine shutterfly takes awhile to process and make said photobook. I am at a loss here.

I would just tell her they aren't ready yet, she won't know the difference. Then when her photobook is ready, you can give it to her with an "oh yeah I lied about the pictures being ready, but only to surprise you!". I think she'll forgive the white lie if it means she's already got something with the photos like she's wanting.

Just tell her that you'll let her know when they're ready and leave it at that. Maybe you can give her a sneak peak or two to hold her over.
