Does a wedding party need to include a flower girl and ring bearer? Does it look odd without them?

I don’t think so. I am having two flower girls, no ring bearer.

It's up to you guys - I've been to multiple weddings will all different variations. Only flower girls, only ring bearers, one of each, neither. Every wedding is different and it comes down to what you want!

I think it's personal preference. My FH and I had a ring bearer and a flower girl selected. Our ring bearer and his parents are unable to make the trip from Florida for our wedding b/c his father has developed health issues that makes it difficult for him to travel (which we totally understand), so we are just having my niece as the flower girl. I don't think it's odd at all.

My FSIL got married in November and she only had ring bearers and no flower girls.

I don't have either in our wedding. I did a junior groomsmen, junior bridesmaid, and ring security that will all walk up and walk out together.

We are having one of each because one of my bridesmaids, who is also my niece, asked if her 3 year old daughter could be the flower girl and I didn't have the heart to say no. My fiance has a grandson who will be 6 at the time of the wedding, so that's our ring bearer. In the past, I never wanted to have kids in the wedding because I didn't want to be upstaged, LOL. But both kids are special to us and I've accepted the fact that my beautiful grandniece is going to steal the show.
