Wedding Party Processional

Haley, on October 10, 2019 at 12:42 PM Posted in Wedding Ceremony 0 8

Hello Lovelies,

I am starting to look into my wedding ceremony music and I have all my songs EXCEPT the processional for the wedding party. Does anyone have any ideas? I have been searching everywhere for songs but none of them feel like a wedding party processional song just a processional for a bride. I don't want to have too upbeat of a song then have a weird transition into my processional song (I cross my heart by George Strait) but I want it to be a more fun song.

HELP!

I don't know if it's what you're looking for, but my processional songs (99% sure of them) are:

Grandparents/parents - Can't Help Falling In Love With You - Haley Reinhart

Bridal party - Turning Page - Sleeping at Last

Me - Yours (Wedding Edition) - Russell Dickerson

We used the instrumental version of Dan and Shay's speechless for the processional

    Hi Haley!

I’m not sure if this is something that you would be interested in, but depending on the number of people in your wedding party and the length of your aisle, you could potentially use the same song as your processional. You could time it so that you get walking down the aisle at the exact party of the song that you want.

It’s totally understandable if you want a different song though! Do you want one that is instrumental, or with lyrics?

That's what I'm doing. My bridal party and myself are walking to a female cover of Train- Marry Me. I'm not sure yet at what point I want to walk in on but we'll figure it out

Since your processional is George Strait, are you looking for a country song for the bridal party as well? A couple I can think of are Greatest Love Story - LANCO, Run to You - Lady Antebellum, Smile - Uncle Kracker (kind of country lol). They're cute and fun without being too upbeat. I'm considering using It All Started With a Beer - Frankie Ballard Smiley laugh I agree that a lot of the songs that come to mind seem more geared toward the bridal processional, but if you really love a song I say go for it!

If you're open to other genres - All You Need is Love or Here Comes the Sun - The Beatles, Can You Feel the Love Tonight, Can't Help Falling in Love - either the original Elvis or there are a bunch of great covers!

I chose the George Strait song since it was my parent's first dance song so it isn't necessary to have country music, though I love country. Our recessional song will be by Queen so it will be an interesting one lol. This does actually help.

Ah that's so cute! Do your parents know, or is it going to be a surprise?
