Wedding party entrance

Melanie, on April 25, 2020 at 10:57 AM Posted in Wedding Ceremony 0 8
Does everyone walk into the wedding with the same song? Also looking for it to not be slow but not too upbeat because my wedding party doesn’t want to dance but we still want it to be fun. Preferably country music. Does the song better together by Luke Combs sound like a good entry song? Open to other suggestions as well. Thanks in advance.

Is this to enter the ceremony or the reception? It seems like the reception because you said they don’t want to dance, but this is a slow song so it’s unclear. We used Better Together as our first dance so we obviously love the song, but reception entrances are usually more upbeat.

For the ceremony I had the wedding party and family and groom walk into one song and then I walked to a separate song

Are you asking about for the processional? I would 100% walk in with my own song but that's just me and I like to make an entrance hahahaha it's more traditional to do one song but completely up to you!!

This might be dependent on how long your processional is? For example, if you're having parents, siblings, flower girl, ring bearer, and 6 wedding party couples (so 12 people but walking in pairs), that's a lot of people to get through before you even begin. This is a large example lol but just something to think about. The less people the less time it takes and the more able you are to do it all in one song. Also depends how far they're walking (long church that fits 250 people or small area that fits 75?)

Whether you want all one song or your own is optional and either option is fine. I'm considering all one song because it's instrumental and a few minutes long. So, we wouldn't get to play the whole thing if only I walk to it (or I'd have to walk veeery slow 😂) and I really want to play the whole song!

I’m really bad at wording things and don’t know much about weddings. I would like to have my own song to walk into. I meant like bridesmaids, groomsmen and parents share a song.

The procession is when the bridal party (bridesmaids, groomsmen, flower girl etc.) walk into wedding. Traditionally it is the same song that the bride/her escort (father or someone else) would walk in to after them. It's totally up to you if you use a different song. I am 100% walking in to my own song even tho it's not "traditional" Smiley laugh .
