Wedding party colors & decor colors

Emily, on July 2, 2022 at 11:01 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 4
Okay, I have a dilemma. I’ve always pictured the bridal party wearing blue, my FH is wearing a navy blue suit… but I don’t think I want any other blue decor. Now that I am putting things together, our Samoan/tropical theme has a lot of greenery/tropical leaves, and white flowers, but not any blue. Is that weird? The bridal party wearing blue, but no other blue decor?

Thanks!

Interesting. I’d think tropical would have some sort of blue in it. If everyone is wearing blue or different shades of blue maybe it’ll be okay with no blue decor.

There are many ways to do tropical. Sounds like you're vision is minimal tropical with your greens/white decor colors. I wouldn't worry about not having blue decor. Navy attire is neutral/ classic. If you are considering subtle additions, you can do blue ribbon around your centerpieces or as napkin ties. There are blue hibiscus and galaxy orchids as well.

I, myself, went with sexy tropical, black tie vibe in a windowless ballroom. Sky's the limit.

I think it would still look good! Plus blue looks more flattering on a lot of people than beige.

Honestly I don't think it matters! As long as you like the way all the colors work together I don't think you need the blue incorporated other places. I feel like people focus too heavily on "color schemes"
