Wedding on Birthday Weekend?

So.....my FH and I had a heck of a time picking a date - we had to work around so many family conflicts. We finally settled on August 22nd. After looking at the calendar, I realized that August 21st is the birthday of FH's best friend's wife (he is in the wedding), and our actual wedding date (August 22nd) would be the birthday of one of my best friend's boyfriends. I am wondering if we should move the date again, but I know there is always going to be something going on. Should I just let it go? We haven't signed anything yet because the venue is still working on getting the contract over to us. I'm kind of torn.

I understand that you are trying to be considerate, but your wedding is about you and your fiance. Do what is best for the two of you!

Lol- I thought you were going to say it was your birthday or your groom's birthday

I don't think you should have to book a wedding around these people's birthdays - go with the date you want.

No I would not change the date because this your day. Just like my wedding day fall right on my bday which is 10/24 and I don't mind because while we are on our honeymoon it will be my FH bday which is on 10/28. Its all about you and not you to please everybody.

Our wedding day is FH's cousins bday... He's also a groomsman... He didn't care

Wow - so many great replies. Thank you for reassuring me that this is a normal circumstance and that people manage to make it work!

StitchingBride -He actually proposed on my birthday this year, which is in early August. So not only did I have to work around that, but I am now spoiled for life. lol.

I'm getting married on my birthday weekend and our wedding day is one of our groomsmen's birthday and also my sister in law's birthday . I have decided to have a birthday cake instead of a wedding cake to commemorate everyone's birthday . I don't think you have a good reason to change the date.
