My fiancée and I are not religious at all. Our venue has officiants in the area that they recommend. Personally, I feel it’s a very deep, emotional moment and I’d like to have someone who truly knows us to marry us. My fiancé’s aunt is such an amazing women and we plan on proposing to her this fall. If you decide to go that route, there are plenty of online institutions that can help you get a close friend or family member ordained. You’ll also have to check any legalities in your state. If not, there are a lot of listings for officiants on wedding apps and Yelp.
