Wedding Music

Anyone else struggling with selections for the wedding? I'm having a beach wedding and decided to play a few selections versus having a singer; anyone know of any good one?

    Pfieldi,

Good selections for music not he beach? Or are you looking for good DJs to coordinate the music? I love the idea of generating your own playlist instead of having a singer! Music is so subjective thought it’d be hard for me to suggest anything... I would start a playlist on your phone somewhere and as you hear music that you think is fitting, jot it down.

Thank you for your post! I’m interested to hear other’s suggestions as well!

Aubrianna great suggestion; I love all music I just need to narrow down my choices and start as play list as suggested. I do have a DJ for the reception but I didn't think about music for the ceremony... silly me :-)

    Pfieldi,

We’re actually hoping to have mariachis playing while the guests arrive and during our short ceremony (twenty minutes: tops!), so they would be playing fun music as guests arrive and then something more traditional as I walk down the isle. However, I’m not sure what we would do otherwise😳... I currently have two lists that I’m working on: music for the dinner and music to play during the reception. Whenever I hear a song that seems fitting, I add them to one of the lists. If it’s upbeat enough to dance to: reception. If not, I just add it onto the dinner/cocktail hour list.
Again, thanks so much for taking the time to read my list and I wish you the best of luck! There’s a lot of music out there, and it’s hard to make a list based off of memory alone.

Aubrianna thank you for sharing. I think that's an excellent idea. I originally had an artist scheduled to sing but I felt back with her traveling 11.5 hours to sing two songs; but now I can take your advise and look for some nice instrumentals to play during the ceremony and I'll start a play list for all the upbeat happy music I would like played during the reception. Again thank you kindly and congratulations :-)
