So my dad wants to be recognized on our wedding invitations by name but my mom feels very uncomfortable having her name (she never changed her last name) and my dad’s name with his new wife on there. I am pretty set on just keeping the invitation neutral such as “the honor of your presence is requested for the wedding of” I know this may make my dad sad, especially since he’s contributed so much but so has my mom. I’m stuck in a tough spot. Anyone have this problem? What did you end up doing?

Only one parent contributed but we still didn't want to leave anyone out. Or put names. Why is his/her name before mine. You only did this and that because of this and that. So we just used together with their families and called it a day

That is so odd that parents play that card of who is better - it makes them look petty. Look, I will be the mom of the groom twice (if they choose to get married) and my attitude? I will wear beige and be quiet. I also told both my kids how much I/we would be putting towards a wedding and they can spend it however they want - no strings attached. Pay off a Visa bill for all I care!

Does he specifically want his name mentioned. Otherwise you can do something like
