My venue requires we have wedding insurance. There are no specifics other than that. Anyone have advice on where to get it or what I need to do?

Ask your venue what they specifically require from insurance (what kind of coverage). We used Wedsafe and it cost $175.

I think this is referring to special event insurance, which is for the day of the wedding. If you google it, most major insurance companies have a policy you can purchase (AllState, Nationwide, etc.). Whether or not you're having alcohol, how many guests you plan on having, location, and other factors like that will determine the price. I think when I researched a quote for my wedding of 100 and providing my own alcohol, it was like $200 maybe?

If you have homeowners or renters insurance you can typically get a pretty affordable rider or quote. We paid $100 for event insurance through USAA
