Are any of you getting wedding insecurities as you get closer to your day? I'm hosting properly with catered food and booze and a good DJ, but I can't help but worry about judgement. My venue is very basic, my attire and centerpieces will be pretty low key. I've wanted a casual-ish wedding since I started planning, but as it gets closer I start to worry. I think it's mostly because I have a cousin getting married 3 months before me, and I keep imagining her wedding as some huge very formal affair and I worry my family will compare compare our weddings. I know this seems stupid but I just don't want people to think my wedding sucks and I really want everyone to have fun and be happy. I don't know why they wouldn't but it's not stopping me from having anxiety! Anyone feel similar?

I totally worry about that too! We are doing nerdy touches (like Harry Potter shoes on me, and a nice tie for FH embossed with a millennium falcon) and I totally worry about the judgment of that. At the end of the day it is who we are and as long as our guests are properly hosted no one will judge.

@Chelsea - yes, it was amazing how caught up we got over a few judgey people (fortunately no one from our immediate family). We ended up just not inviting them because we couldn't handle the stress. I know, such a cop-out, but I absolutely refuse to spend my wedding day stressing out about the details - I want only guests who won't care if the flowers are a little droopy or my colors don't exactly match etc.

Not yet/ but maybe when it's closer I will- although I may not be worried as much since I know the family well enough to know their expectations are likely lower than what we're doing! Lol- more than 10 (aunts/mom/cousins) asked what they could make to bring for the wedding- lol- I told them we're having it catered- now they think we're fancy.

I think we all have those insecurities, I've tossed ideas around in my head but second guess thinking someone will scrutinize my decisions. But I try to remember it's my day this is what I Want!!!

Yes, I have a little anxiety about people being comfortable - I think it's going to be a little crowded. Then I think, hey I just want to get married to my love and go to Disney World. I have to get a grip, but honestly, reading your post gave my stomach butterflies! LOL!

    We'll be fine!

FHs cousin is getting married this month so I feel like his family might compare his to ours which is 5 months away. They have spent over twice as much on theirs so I'm feeling the pressure. Just relax as much as possible and if anyone judges your wedding then shame on them!
