Be creative - but not too creative

Don’t limit yourself to just first and last name combinations! Think about location, nicknames, and your wedding theme when coming up with a wedding hashtag. Just make sure it isn’t too much of an inside joke Smiley smile When in doubt - we’re always a fan of alliteration!

Keep it short

You want to make sure your hashtag is easy to type and remember! We suggest limiting your hashtag to 15-20 characters.

Make sure it works

Spaces, punctuation marks, and special characters will all break your hashtag. Make sure to give your hashtag a test run before sharing it with the rest of your guests!

Still stuck? Post your request for hashtag help in this discussion! You can also read through the other hashtag suggestions to inspire you, and make sure you’re also helping out other users with their hashtag ideas!

In yalls opinion is it better to go with something a little more general, or add more characters to make it slightly more specific?

#JenAndMichGetHitched? It's still quite long (20 chars), but at least easier to spell. I tested this on Insta, no one's used it yet.

I think easy-to-spell / remember is more important than either of those. Shorter is generally easier to spell/remember, but that's not always true. For example AandB2018 is short, but might be misspelled as "AndB2018" (missing an A) or "BandA2018" (swapped the initial order). Whereas something like AceAndBreeOMG is longer, but is harder to mix up because it rhymes.

Hmm... #ToHaveAndToGold? Would make more sense if Gold was your fiancé's name though. You could always go with an alliteration like #FinallyFrazier if you're changing your name

The hashtag i am thinking about PairODocs has been used sporadically on insta. I'm thinking of adding something like 2018PairODocs or something to make sure it hasn't been used.

Yeah that's easy enough to remember, and I don't think it's too long. But the "O" might get people confused. #PairOfDocs2018 is free. If you're trying to do a play on Dr. Martens, you could also do #FavePairOfDocs #FavoritePairOfDocs (both free on Insta). If not, #CoupleOfDocs only has two posts so far, you could easily take that over by posting some engagement / bridal shower photos.

Ok y’all. I’m having a terrible time coming up with a great hashtag- we both have ordinary first names and my new last name is going to be Jones! Talk about a common last name- and my maiden name is Wilson, so that’s not any better. Our first names are Paul and Rhonda. Can anyone help?!

The only other thing I can think of to use is some play on the word “bucket,” because he once told this absolutely hilarious story about how we met- a story that was completely made up!- that centered on him trying to milk a cow, his bucket and my bucket, and that culminated with our buckets somehow fitting together perfectly... (ok, alcohol may have played a factor in his telling of this story! Lol)

So- who can help with this Jones bucket hashtag thing?! I’ll be forever grateful...

Hi everyone! Just a quick question on this hashtag thing that seems to be necessary nowadays! So my FH name is Ever Avonce and the only thing I can come up with is #foreveravonce like Forever Avonce but its also his name. Cute, or dumb? Any other ideas or suggestions??

Any chance you'll be taking Champion as your last name?? A friend of mine went to a wedding where their hashtag was #WeAreTheChampions and their first dance was to the song We Are The Champions! So funny and amazing Smiley heart

    #CaughtInHisWebb (cute or creepy? I can't tell!)

    #WedtoWebb

    #WeddedAndWebbed

    #WebbWeddingBells

    #TheWondefulWebbs

Another trick I've used is googling song titles using the word or name you want to incorporate! Apparently there was a song called "Trapped in the Web of Love" Smiley heart I think you could definitely make some sort of pun on that, or something off of "oh what a tangled web we weave'
