Wedding guest--should I bring a purse/clutch?

Sammie, on September 22, 2017 at 10:41 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 11

I'm attending a friend's wedding in 2 weeks, and I'm not sure whether to bring a smaller purse or clutch? I'm trying to weight the pros and cons of bringing one and would like to know whether you'd bring one or not.

I dont always bring one. I locked my keys/wallet/phone in the car in my bag at the last wedding I attended. H has pockets, so we really just need his keys/wallet/phone.

I guess I don't understand why you wouldn't. Are you worried about leaving it at the table while you're dancing? That's the only con I can think of. (And I am not someone who uses a purse 100% of the time.)

I wanted a clutch for the wedding I attended on Saturday. I found a super cute black faux leather clutch with a removable cross body strap at walmart for only $7. It was just big enough to hold my ID, a little cash for tips, makeup, tissues, and hydrocortizone cream. It was outdoors and many of us got mosquito bites, so the cream was helpful for a lot of people. I also always cry at weddings so I wanted to be sure I had tissues and could touch up my makeup. Because of the cross body strap I kept it on me the whole time, but I wouldn't worry if it were lost or stolen. It would cost less than $50 to replace the purse and everything in it. Now that I have one, I think a little bag is a must for a wedding!

It depends on the situation for me. If I have FH along, I skip the purse and just store necessities in his pockets. If I'm by myself, I have a small crossbody (similar to this http://www.charmingcharlie.com/handbags/crossbodies/saundra-turnlock-crossbody-wallet.html#color=ivory) to carry my things. It's not to heavy to be an annoyance while dancing, and I don't have to leave it at the table and risk it "wandering off".

I always bring a clutch to weddings and events. I usually travel with a big purse so it's nice to have a smaller one for my ID, phone, lipstick, cash, debit card for late night food, etc.

I usually just give my ID to FH to hold on to and either leave my phone at home or give it to him also

I usually have a very small wallet- I dislike dragging a purse around- so the less I have the better.

Yes! I usually bring something small enough to hold my keys, phone and lip gloss.
