I am going to a wedding next month and I have two dresses I can wear, one is cream with light purple florals, and the other is mint lace. 1) Is cream with florals too close to white to be OK for attending a wedding? 2) The wedding colors are blue and green, is it a no-no to wear mint? HELP!

EDIT: I have a photo of the cream dress. For the wedding I would wear it with a purple cardigan, not a cream one.

They would both be great! I don't see them being too short or too casual. I've never been told to dress overly formal for a wedding.

I like the floral one. Especially with a purple cardigan.

I'd go with the mint. The first one looks to me both a little more casual and a little more bridal (I could see wearing it to your own bridal shower for example)

I don't think either are too short, haha. But I would wear the mint one. I think the top one looks very young and very casual. The mint one you could dress up with a black cardigan, heels, jewelry, etc. Even for an evening wedding, it would look great.

For an evening wedding where? In the summer in TX, you could absolutely wear either of them to a wedding with heels and nice accessories.

I disagree about the comments of them being too short.

I think either are fine. My wedding is at 3:45 and I expect people to dress similar to that.

I like the mint one. It would be totally appropriate for a casual wedding. However, if it's a formal wedding, you'll need to get a new dress.

I vote mint! And I don't think they're too short. If it's a super formal wedding then I agree - new dress. But most girls at the weddings I've been to recently and my own wedding wore dresses similar to those. And they've all been evening weddings.

I think the mint one is better just because it is a little more formal. I think floral is fine in cream but the first outfit is a bit too casual. I do not think there is any issue with the length. I don't see how someone would say it is too short.

I like the first dress. I would wear a purple cardigan with it.

Unless its a black tie wedding you do NOT need a longer dress. So don't listen to anyone saying its too short haha!

As for color, I think either are appropriate because the purple prevents it from being too close to white. Also, brides can't assume that no guest will wear the same color as the bridesmaids because some guest simply just won't know. So you can wear either!

I'd wear the mint because I love lace!

Both look fine, but if you are truly worried, you could always ask the bride if she's ok with them.

I think the mint one is cute, but that's something I'd wear to a shower. I think you need something different for an evening reception.

They're really casual. Are the weddings casual? Those are things I would wear (maybe) to a BBQ.

The mint one looks great. I don't see where there would be an issue with that.

The mint green- because I don't think it's an issue to wear a color similar to the colors of the wedding, but I know it's frowned upon to wear white... personally I wouldn't mind if either showed up at my wedding, but ours is more rustic/ vintage. However, if it's a more formal feel, then I may try something else.

Both really cute but I'm leaning towards the floral one.

The first one is so pretty! Definitely not too close to white
