I am the MOH for my friend's wedding. I am trying to figure out a wedding gift appx $100. Problem is I absolutely despise the groom. Its a long story but he is vile, greedy, a complete prick, and is only with my friend for her money. He has put her into over $17,000 worth of debt and doesn't care. I will not get them a gift that he will benefit from. Problem is if I get something that is CLEARLY just for her he will complain about it to her and myself and never let it go. How can I get them a gift that is way more beneficial to her but not so obvious that its not for him too?

@OriginalKD, I'm picturing the lifesavers WERE used for the BJ.

OP, just give cash and try to be a supportive friend. It's her life, and if you love her, you'll respect her decisions -- as hard as it may be for you. (Not your circus, not your monkeys.)

Man, nothing beats the lifesavors.....I will never look at them the same again.

OO, he's a control freak and I doubt you will be friends with her much longer after the wedding. I'd buy whatever you want for HER and screw him.

Yikes! I'd have a hard time standing next to a friend watching her marry a man like that. I would get her something that is easy to return or that she would end up with in the event of the marriage failing. Or just some names of good divorce lawyers haha! As bad as that sounds...I can't imagine any woman putting up with that for the rest of her life unless he changes.

And @Nicole...start a new thread about that! I want details!!
