Wedding Favors for guests

How many people are doing wedding favors for their guests? What are you guys doing for them? Me and my fiance are deciding if we want to do them and what ideas you ladies have done?

I skipped them. This is a kind of know your crowd thing, lol. They were not a "thing" when I got married the first time, so it didn't occur to us to give them. We put the money into food and drink. Again, know your crowd, lol!

We chose mini bottles of wine with our wedding details on the label since our venue is a vineyard...and because we LOVE wine! I agree with most people that say give something edible versus a trinket, after a while those tend to just get tossed.

I am interested in buying the small/mini sized wine as our favors, but do not where to get them. I have a customized bottle opener that I want to attach to the wine. Hopefully I would get bottles of wine without labels, as I would want to attach our own labels since my theme is grape vine and wine. Any affordable suggestions would be a big help. Thanks!

    Hi Chantel,

Where did you get your mini bottles of wine? Did they have labels on them? If so, how did you get them off?

    Thank you in advance.

    Hey Tammy!

I ordered from PersonalWine.com - here is the link to the mini-bottles . You can create your own label online and they arrive with them already attached. The bottles are actually a decent size too, they can easily fill two glasses of wine! It's roughly $160 for a case of 24 and the more cases you order, the more you'll be discounted. Totally worth every penny! I'm obsessed with the finished product - they look soooo sophisticated and expensive...NOT like a DIY project at all. Haha!

We're using a personalized luggage tag as our Escort Cards, but it will also be their favor (the reception is a travel theme). My FH is Italian, so we're also having small bags with the confetti almonds (5).

I've heard if it's something that guests can eat or use right away it's worth doing, but anything with your wedding date or another trinket that they just set somewhere and forget about it isn't worth spending money on.

In lieu of favors, we are making donations to our local animal shelter because that's where we got our dog and also JDRF, because we're both type 1 diabetic. I feel like favors can get pricey and even tacky at times, I also usually don't do anything with them anyway. Just my opinion!

Our original guest list was almost all coming in from out of state, so we wanted something that would be portable and easy to pack. We found some really cute little candles in individual tins with custom labels on Etsy (ModParty is the name of the shop) that were just what we were looking for and relatively inexpensive (~$27 per dozen).

The only favors we're doing are coloring books for the kids. Most of our guests will be from out of town so we're going to use the money that we were going to use for favors and just make really nice welcome bags.

The only thing we're doing is making grab bags for the younger kids who will be in attendance. Coloring book, crayons, just small dollar store stuff to keep the kiddos entertained during the reception.

Skipping them. Waste of money. Most people leave them and for the people that do take them, they become dust collectors or tossed in a junk drawer.

We are donating supplies to the organization where we rescued our dog in lieu of favors! We'll have cute little signs on the table explaining the donation as well as an announcement by the DJ.

Well, your idea sounds georgeous. I would even copy it if you don't mind - we do a relaxed garden party with just 20 guests. It may get colder in the later hours and they might give it an even more comfy and familiar flair.
