Wedding Favors for guests

How many people are doing wedding favors for their guests? What are you guys doing for them? Me and my fiance are deciding if we want to do them and what ideas you ladies have done?

I'm doing small succulents! I think they double as a great favor and escort card.

The coolest one I think I've had was a coworker's wedding. Thegroom's dad worked with metal & made railroad tie bottle openers. I've seen honey & apple butter. Wine stoppers or shot glasses (I decided against alcohol related since not everyone drinks). I wanted to do syrup, but it was really expensive. People do donut walls & use the donuts as favors. People also use cookies & mini pies. You could do a smores kit for each person, or a smores bar. You could do hot cocoa tubes/mix.

FH & I are doing homemade jams! I have found that edible favors are definitely taken more than non-edible ones. No offense to other people, but I, & a lot of other people I know, don't really care to have something sitting around with someone's names & wedding date on them. I'm probably never going to wear sunglasses or use a cup that says "Jane & John xx.xx.xxxx" ever again after the wedding. I know koozies are popular, but for my friends & family that is also something that is rarely used. Novelty things like that are generally shoved in a drawer or cupboard somewhere & forgotten only because I feel bad throwing away something that someone spent money on.

I've also seen a lot of people saying they are skipping them or didn't do them because it wasn't in their budget. Which is totally fine as well because I don't think I know anyone should go to a wedding expecting a favor. For me, it's just usually something that I don't think about unless I get to the wedding & see them. Kind of an out of sight, out of mind type of thing. I've never been disappointed that a couple didn't do them. I never actually notice unless someone says "they didn't do favors". However, I do get excited if it's something I can eat lol.

Another vote for something edible, but expect that a good number of whatever it is will still be left behind. Favors just aren't as expected these days.

I got coasters with stars as we’re doing a celestial theme. I’m also thinking of agate stones with names in calligraphy to double as place cards.

We both love to travel and he is in the military so that leads to so many different places to go to. We decided to add a personal touch so we will be doing coasters with the world on them and their names personalized. This will serve as their guest card and favor. We have a 300+ guests count so it might be too much to do each one so we are currently debating on having just the families last name on them, couples names max(2 names) and none for the children. Instead I'll have a goodie welcome bag for the children. But all in all favors could add up to a lot so I would suggest setting a wedding budget and see if favors will be worth it or not. I do love the idea of a photo/postcard as a favor given that there are so many efficient inexpensive places you can get those made. Smiley shame I love the edible portion of favors but you also have to see if you will be having a dessert table/ sweets around your reception if so I'd opt out for an edible dessert to be honest. Etsy has several options some even around .50 favors Smiley love best wishes!

I bought these little succulent candles from amazon and we have koozies. I wouldn't over think it. They aren't necessary and like a lot of others have said - they usually go to waste!

So, in my infinite search for something different I figured it out. Lindt.com sells the truffles in boxes of 800 for $168.00. They are wicked YUMMY to boot.

We're skipping favors and putting the money elsewhere. I feel bad cause weddings I've been to not a lot of people take the favors.

We are having a fall wedding - so I found some fall scented soaps on Etsy that have customizable wraps! We are also doing some DIY mulling spice pouches; just going to buy some bulk mulling spice and little tea parcels for people to scoop the mix into! Super cute and affordable Smiley smile While favors aren't needed, they are a nice touch! I just wanted to make sure mine were practical as well!

To me edible favors are the way to go! I love getting a treat at the end of the wedding night. It's a nice touch plus people may be hungry again from all that dancing Smiley smile Our venue offers "late night bite" options for the end of the night, like a candy table where people can take a bag and fill it up with candy to go or hot soft pretzels and stuff like that. We are probably going to pick 1 or 2 and get cute personalized bags that have our names and date on it and those will serve as our favors.

I guess I'm in the minority, since I'm not doing them. As another reply said, most guests just leave them behind. We put the money towards things that directly impact our guests' enjoyment of the day.

We went to Dollar Tree and got a bunch of cheap candy and favor bags (like at birthday parties) to set up a candy bar, as well as bought succulent molds to make chocolate succulents since they were a big part of our theme with a sign that said "Thank you for sharing our SWEET day with us!"

We are having the lifesavers with our wedding date on them and also the wedding matches in our colors. I think it's a nice gift just to show your guests that you do appreciate them coming. I'm going to add sanitizer as well.

Since our ceremony will be outdoors and in Miami Florida we I will be providing hand fans (from amazon 60 for $21), there will also be bubbles that have little sayings like let love fly, which the guest will blow after the ceremony ( from Michael's 100 for $10). For the reception each guest will have a chocolate chip cookie ( from Costco) in a little bag with a sticker that says a sweet little thank you. We will also have a digital photo booth, we are doing this ourself with an iPad and lights. For the party we have foam glow sticks (from amazon 100 for $46), I know guest leave them behind all the time but they are fun for the time being used. We are also thinking of having cheese tequenos as our midnight snack.
