Hi everybody, I am beginning to wonder if wedding dress shops are scamming people, I am about to order my wedding dress and after talking to several dress places they all act like the dress will take whatever time I tell them my wedding is, so if I say it's in 5 months they say it'll take 6 months to get in, when I told them it's in 8 months they say it'll take 9 months to get in.......so my question is, should I tell them a false wedding date that is sooner then my real wedding date? And also how long did it take to get your wedding dress in?

My dress came in 6 months and I ordered with about 9. I was quoted 6-8 months since Hayley Paige is a popular designer, so I was quite happy! If you have a tight timeline, maybe ordering a designer dress won't work. David's Bridal and the like usually have off-the-rack options!
