Wedding Dress- How long did it take it for you to find 'the one' ?

I found mine in the second round.

I went to one appt, one bridal shop and it was the 3rd dress I tried on. I kept trying on more dresses but kept going back to the dress. I didn't cry, but I knew it was my dress.

For me, I did a lot of research online before even trying on a dress. I'm one of those people where I don't bother with going to a store if I don't need or like anything there. I ended up only going to one store and it was the third dress I tried on. Put on one more after, and knew I wanted to get back in my dress right away.

Thanks everyone! Sounds like #1 is the winner After hearing you all, I'm loving dress #1 even more! I really do want to have the 'this is it' feeling though. I will sleep on it and go to next round of shopping and let you all know what I've decided on

@mokobun Not everyone has that "moment" but when my maid of honor starting crying, thats when I did.

I honestly didn't think I would cry haha.

I love them both oh man you have a tough decision . but I suggest you try on more when its the "one" I'm sure you'll know. (I say that now until I start trying to find my perfect dress) lol good luck I'm sure you'll look great in a potato sack! Haha!

2nd store I went to, probably tried on 20-25 dresses total.

Honestly, I tried on 1 dress...it was the one. Granted, I had done online research as to what I was looking for and I found a local store that carried it. I walked in the door for my appt. The lady asked where we were starting. I pointed at the dress and said "That One!". She helped me in it, I stood in the room for a minute in an emotional overload, and then came out, after calming down. My MOH went with me and she was just as emotional. It's perfect and everything I ever dreamed of!!

@alpowers1982, @Jennifer & @Jessica I'm so jelly of all of you who just knew that was 'THE ONE' after only a few dresses. I felt bad for my friend who were shopping with me yesterday & today- she looked very tired! lol

I found my dress at the first store I went to. The last dress I tried on.

#1 OP that was me 5 stores later, i stopped counting how many dresses i tried on. I had the same i like it but i dont love it. I'm also indecisive lol. i found my dress in a magazine had it made and I love it.

@Chelsea I didn't cry either. So, OP don't rely on that as a deciding factor. Like Chelsea said, I couldn't stop thinking of mine when I left the store. Had to wait an agonizing week for my daughter to give a second opinion. She fell in love with it too.

Omg! I could never try on that many lol. Two dresses in on my first trip and I found mine. I tried on a 3rd dress just to make sure my heart was set on the 2nd dress. I cried the first time i put on and when i put it on again after trying back on after the 3rd dress. It was a done deal!

Dress 1 looks so great on you! Very flattering!!! It took me quite a few dresses and different shops so don't feel bad

I went to three shops and tried on maybe 15 dresses! I'm definitely glad I got to see a variety!
