Wedding Dress--help!

Jennifer, on July 19, 2016 at 11:50 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 18

HELP! I am second guess my wedding dress bc it has a champagne underlay that seems pretty dark now that I'm looking at it--pretty close to my olive skin color actually. I don't want my dress to look brown or yellow in pictures. HELP! Should I get a new dress? Is there a way to change the underlay color by a seamstress? It was from a sample sale, so there's no ordering another color.

Second question. My dress is also strapless and my groom is 1 whole foot taller than me. Is there any chance that close up pictures of us will have me looking naked? Has anyone run into this in their photos after the fact?

Thanks for the advice in advance.

Oh I love your dress, please don't change it! I love the darker hues for wedding dresses, as bright white tends to wash some people out. I really think it is a beautiful dress though!

Don't second guess it! It is beautiful and shouldn't look brown or yellow in pictures. If you're still concerned you could check with your seamstress to see about changing the color..

A good photographer should be able to make it so you don't look naked in close ups!

Love your dress. If you have your ceremony outdoor I am sure it will not look dark.

Your dress is so pretty!! Especially with the champagne. I would ask your photographer about looking naked.

Close up pictures can be easily handled by sitting down or you standing on something that will make you taller. Trust your photographer.

The dress is great and will be beautiful in the photos and on your day.

I think it looks great-the champagne color makes the beautiful lace pop.

I think it's lovely just the way it is! It may also depend on the lighting of where that picture was taken. It may look completely different outdoors or with your venues lighting.

I wouldn't change, I think the darker underlay really makes the details in the lace stand out. Gorgeous dress!

The underlay color makes the lace pop and pro photography will highlight the lightness of the lace better. Plus, changing it would likely involve remaking the whole thing, right?

That dress is absolutely gorgeous. It complements your skin, it doesn't blend into it so I wouldn't worry about it. It looks amazing on you.

Jennifer, here's a similar undertone worn by a friend of mine. As you can see, it looks stunning and makes the lace pop. It doesn't look yellow at all. Your dress is gorgeous Smiley smile

It's beautiful don't change it. The photographer should never take a picture where you look naked
