wedding dress Help: To belt or not to belt?

I can’t decide if I should wear a belt with my wedding dress or not…and my bridesmaids are split down the middle. My mom likes both. My future MIL likes both. People have said to wear it for the ceremony and take it off for the reception or the other way around.
I like the belt. I love it actually, but I also love my dress and don’t want to ruin it and don’t know if it actually needs it.

I just need unbiased opinions please. Belt or no belt?

Hi Brittany! Welcome to the WeddingWire Community! First off, your dress is absolutely stunning! I think that it looks so beautiful both with and without the belt! Personally, I think the belt adds a little bit of contrast to your dress, and it looks really nice! I also like the bronze color of the belt with the tones of your dress! Will you be wearing any other accessories? If so, will they match your belt?

I love the flowers on the belt! IMO, side and close up looks nicer without. Entire dress view looks more unique with the belt.
How about wear it for the ceremony, and incorporated the belt on the hair during reception?

Hi! Personally, I like it without the belt. The dress is so gorgeous on it's own. But really, it's all about your personal preference.

I think the dress without it is stunning! I also like the belt - but don't it's "needed." What does the rest of the theme of your wedding look like? Colors, formality, etc? That may help you decide!

Your dress is stunning! However, I think with the belt added, it helps define your waist a little more - I'd go with the belt, assuming it'll match the rest of your accessories on the big day?

With! It just gives it that added little detail that really defines your waist esp since the pattern on your dress is the same on the top and bottom

I vote yes to the belt. You look great either way but the belt adds a unique element and the color compliments your dress so well.

I'm leaning towards with the belt ! (the last two picture comparisons- i feel like its missing something without the belt on)
Also I would love to know where the belt is from!?!! soo beautiful and now I'm thinking about trying it on my dress haha

I see the dilemma here. It looks great with and without? Maybe wear it for the ceremony or reception and not for the other so you get to have the best of both worlds.
