Wedding dress hair and accessories

Claire’s/Icing at the mall has a ton of jewelry choices. Pinterest and Instagram are great for makeup choices. For example “glammakeup“ in a search box will give you some natural looks and some bolder.

I've never heard of a service that offers this, as most people have fairly set ideas of what they'd like. Hair and makeup are really very personal - I think you need to have some idea of how you'd like to look and feel on your wedding day before anyone could offer you advice.

Plus, real talk, if you were to post on a forum like this saying "What type of necklace would look better with my dress?" or "what veil would suit my gown?" "Looking for help with makeup ideas" people would offer their opinions and advice for free, and you'd at least get a consensus!

What exactly are you having trouble with? Finding specific styles you like? Deciding between options?

Can you post a picture of the dress? That would help with pointing you in the right direction. I’m in Chicago too

Did you get your dress at an in person salon? Sometimes they sell jewelry and maybe could help you pick out a few pieces during your next fitting. Same with the veil. As for hair/makeup; I relied heavily on Pinterest and my hair and makeup gals Instagram. She also offered for me to send pictures of my dress to help better get an idea what I might want with my hair and makeup.

Have you tried looking online at Etsy? They have so many options in a variety of price points and an endless amount of styles. If you prefer in person shopping, try major department stores for jewelry. Bridal salons would be helpful for veils, too. For hair and makeup ideas, I used Pinterest to get photos of what I had in mind and showed them to my hair and makeup artists. They were able to go off of the pictures to understand what type of styles I had in mind and then tailored it to me.
