Wedding dress exchange after alterations - David’s bridal

Please someone help me! I’m over here in tears and let me explain why. I went to Davids Bridal tried on my dream dress and it fit like a glove in the size 10. The stylist fought with me about getting a 12 because it seemed too snug and the seamstresses would make it perfect so I finally caved in and listened to her. I refused and asked for a 10. My dress came and I was swimming in it and was so confused. I look at the tag and it was a 12. I immediately took it to the store and they told me, not to worry it happens and the seamstress would make it fit like a 10 WRONG! I had no idea a size exchange was even a thing. No one even mentioned it to me. I went along with the altercations and I just picked it up and tried it on today and it’s still terrible. There’s a ton of lose fabric in the front. I’m pulling it up constantly at the freaking alteration appointment and the woman told me to get a bigger bra. I’m so upset and think I’m going to have to buy a new SAME dress in the 10.


This is probably a long shot but if I let David’s Bridal know what happened do you think they’d let me exchange even with alterations?
